Rules and regulations in the Doge's Palace

Large bags, suitcases, or trolleys over 1m in size are not allowed inside and must be left at the free cloakroom. Items such as umbrellas or other bulky objects may also need to be checked in. Visitors are expected to follow security instructions and maintain respectful behaviour inside the building.

General Conduct

Visitors are expected to behave respectfully inside the Doge's Palace. Running, shouting, or any disruptive behavior is not allowed. Touching artworks, leaning on display cases, or crossing barriers is prohibited to help preserve the collections and interiors.

Photography

Photography without flash is permitted in most areas, but the use of tripods, selfie sticks, and professional lighting equipment is not allowed. In certain temporary exhibitions or specific rooms, photography may be restricted entirely.

Prohibited Items

Large bags, backpacks, umbrellas, and any potentially damaging objects must be left in the cloakroom, which is free of charge. Food, drinks, and animals (except for guide dogs) are not permitted inside the museum.
